Cruise to the Ice-fjord
Experience an amazing cruise deep into the Ice fjord. We sail as far as the ice conditions allow, viewing the amazing ice floes, bird life and the and the turquoise sea.
We sail towards the fjord, enjoy lunch on board with a wonderful view over to the Bird-mountain (fuglefjeldet) where razorbills, seagulls and other sea-birds nest. If we are lucky, we might observe White-tailed Eagle in flight over the fjord as well as groups of Harp seals, which can be spotted among the ice floes. We sail further to visit the abandoned settlement of Qoornoq lying ideally in the fjord. We land in the beautiful settlement where you have a chance to visit the charming and newly restored Qoornoq church before we head back to Nuuk.
Departure: from the Atlantic Harbour (tidevandstrappen) with boat M/S Najaaraq at 8.00am
